Ed Belding is a licensed physical therapist with forty years of experience in orthopedic and manual therapy. He earned his degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado in 1985, and later completed advanced post-graduate training, becoming a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 1996 and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT) in 1999.
In 1997, Ed founded Rocky Mountain Rehabilitation, where he continues to practice as a clinical physical therapist. Throughout his career, he has worked with a wide range of individuals—from student athletes recovering from injury to those managing chronic pain and complex conditions.
For 25 years, Ed served as a Physical Therapy consultant to the Colorado College athletic department, supporting the recovery and performance of student athletes. He also collaborated with Craig Hospital in Denver, contributing to the care of patients with spinal cord and neurological injuries.
A dedicated educator and lifelong learner, Ed has taught numerous continuing education courses for physical therapists, as well as public workshops focused on movement, health, and mind-body pain care. He is deeply committed to applying evidence-based practices while helping others better understand and manage pain.
Over the past 15 years, Ed has faced his own health challenges, which have given him a deeper, more compassionate understanding of persistent pain and illness. This personal journey has strengthened his belief in the importance of integrative care—where the connection between mind and body plays a central role in healing. His current practice reflects this holistic approach, blending traditional physical therapy with insights from mindfulness and modern pain science.
Ed lives in Woodland Park, Colorado, where he enjoys hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, camping, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
